Brass Wood Screw, Round Head, Phillips Drive, #8, 1-3/4" Length (Pack of 50) Review
Bought these for window jambs, as raised (round head) screws are better than flat head screws for this purpose. These are perfectly serviceable but they are not "bright" brass, if that's what you are looking for.

Brass Wood Screw, Round Head, Phillips Drive, #8, 1-3/4" Length (Pack of 50) Overview
Wood screws are designed to attach two pieces of wood together. They generally feature a smooth, unthreaded shank below the head which ensures a tight attachment, and the threaded portion of the shank is tapered to increase the holding power. Threads specially designed for use in wood effectively resist pulling out.
Brass is rust proof, corrosion resistant and polishes to a rich, golden color. Brass is easily soldered and brazed and accepts plating readily. The typical composition is 70% Copper and 30% Zinc. Strength increases with a higher percentage of Zinc.
Round head fasteners have a dome-shaped head. An older style of head, it is typically used when replacing existing round-head fasteners where an exact match is desired. The Phillips drive style was originally designed so that the driver would slip out under extreme torque, preventing over-tightening and damage to the fastener or the material.
